The Final Year Syndrome

As the title suggests, the final year syndrome has taken the better of me. So what exactly does this new syndrome in the medical world means?

It just means that someone who is in his/her final year of studies just wants to take a step back from all affairs and live in his/her own world. Of course, not all final year students experience this special type of syndrome. But I must say about 80% of the people do. I wonder if that makes me a hermit crab?

I simply love to coop myself up in my room and enjoy the peace within me.

Anybody wanna join me? =)

Reading deficiency?

School has reopened but my mind has not. It's just so difficult to read the textbook with nothing going into that head of mine. I guess I have reading deficiency. Can someone please re-wire my mind?

Angry that I can't glue myself to the TV watching the Olympics. Lamenting the fact that the TV card is incompatible with Vista. Just when I needed it most, it can't be used.

Little YH can now flip herself from tummy position to back position. She just did it on Sunday, 10 Aug. =) She's way too adorable. Now that we only get to see her during the weekends, it really makes me look forward to going home.

Till then..

An Eventful Time

It's been almost a month since the last update. But then was just thinking that nobody reads anyway so i'm lazy to update. =P

Oh well.. Chai Yan just got promoted to PARTNER! So cool!! I'm so inspired to slog my life out at one of the Big 4 and reach the Partner level. But it's so so hard.. The rec club ppl organised a mini celebration for her yesterday in office. They bought a cake from awfully chocolate and some flowers for her. Heard from pei shan that Chai Yan wept! She's really touched. Also heard that the wordings on the chocolate tag goes like this: "congratulations mum! from 018 kids". Fung Fung was there too and she said she herself is a grandma now. Haha. Really cute and sweet. To think I missed all these while at client's place. Boo hoo..

Little Yu Han is growing really well and fast. She has started to go goo goo gaa gaa at a mere 2months! She's really well ahead of others her age! She stared at dad for a long long time on 2 occasions while he carried her trying to rock her to sleep. Her mouth went into an arch like about to burst out crying and she doesn't even blink. Not sure if she's trying to "sa jiao" or she feels strange when dad carries her. haha but i think it's the former cos dad always manage to rock her to sleep. She probably feels safe in his arms. =) KM and her should be coming to stay for the night tmr cos BIL is going to play soccer on sunday morning. She played the eye-brow game with me too and made KM and I burst out laughing.

Just had a few 21st bday parties during the past 1 month. Had Jie Ying's, Hui Fang's, Shi Ling's, Adelyne's. All have stepped into the 21st threshold. Next would be the wedding phase i guess? Can't wait to see who will be the 1st to get married.

PA is coming to an end next Friday. Woo hoo! got to start churning out the PA report.. then it's hall camp.. then it's JCRC elections.. then it's AGM.. then it's Ah Boy coming into this world in early October!

What an eventful year. =))

Here's Ker Shin reporting from client's place..hehe. took the chance to update when seniors are discussing work.

Till then..

Anthony's Commissioning.

Yesterday was Anthony's Commissioning!

Time passes really fast. I still remember us going to ice-cube in April last year when he was still in BMT and now after 39 weeks of OCS training, he's finally commissioned! So proud to have an officer friend! Really happy for him. His parents must be so proud of their eldest son too. I definitely will be if it was my son!. lol.

So Para, Eddy, Jeremy and I went to his commissioning parade at SAFTI yesterday and gosh was I happy to see a smartly dressed Anthony in his No. 1 uniform. Finally a yuying pal gets commmissioned.. *overwhelmed with joy* It was Bernard's commissioning too. So there are 2 yuying pals getting commissioned together. =)

The last time I attended a commissioning parade was my big brother's and that was way back into time.. 11 years ago! I was only 10 then. And guess what? after watching his parade, I suddenly had the urge to join the army when I grow older. Simply because the guys all look so smart!

Waiting for the parade to start..
oh we saw meihua and daryll there too!
presenting to you our new officer!
haha fooling around with his hat. look cool on me huh?
the whole lot of us!

don't worry. it's alive!

alright.. para said my blog has been dormant since god knows when.

so it's time I get it alive again..

I finally donated blood after 2 years of attempts! Got rejected a few times previously for low blood pressure but this isn't my 1st donation. Feels so good to be eligible for donation once again. Haha! Surprising that it wasn't that painful this time round. Perhaps like what Yuwen said, I didn't focus on the pain.

Let's recap my blood donation journey..
The 1st time i attempted it was back in JC and I got rejected as I only weighed 44.5kg then (mind you the minimum weight one should be is 45kg). I was thinking "I'm only 0.5kg short why can't you let me pass?".
I think I passed the 2nd and 3rd times. But couldn't pass the subsequent few attempts. Once was the whole group of TCCs went to the blood bank after work one day. oh well..I was the "initiator" of that particular blood donation exercise. I remember it was Nuraini's 1st time at giving blood. But who knows, I was the one who couldn't donate (what other reasons are there besides low BP again?) and they got so "mad" at me.hahah.

Ok so it's back to school already. Argh..the one thing I dread most especially having so much fun at Chiang Mai and Xiamen. My 1st time going on holiday and return 1 day before school starts. Tiring! Though trip to Xiamen was really short, it was really intense and fun-filled. My 1st time seeing seeing strawberries at strawberry farm! The 1st time was at Gold Coast but it wasn't the season yet so I only saw the plant then..

So much schoolwork to do now and there's still the pineapple production at home. oh man! I should hide in hall until CNY to escape it! But it's soooo NO LIFE!

Ok shall get down to some work.
